No charges have been filed against the driver who collided with the television personality, but police in California are investigating, wrote a Dec. 3 Washington Times report.

Bill Beckwith was killed when a car struck him near the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood about 8:30 p.m. Beckwith was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. Sadly, he passed away a short time later from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that allegedly struck and killed Beckwith has not been formally charged with an violation. Moreover, they are said to be cooperating with accident investigators.

Beckwith, one of three HGTV "Curb Appeal" co-hosts, starred alongside Kimberly Lacy and John Gidding.

On the show's website, it says this about CA: "Get great ideas for how to make the most of your home's appearance! Curb Appeal will help you look at your home with a fresh eye and offers up tips for turning great ideas into reality. Each episode features a real house and homeowner with guest experts who discuss the owner's needs and propose projects to improve the home's appearance. Then the crew goes to work, transforming outdated and boring homes with stunning makeovers."

Bill Beckwith was a carpenter on the popular television show. A resident of Maine, he began working on the farm with his father, helped cultivate crops on the 60-acre spread, and soon took an interest in restoring aging structures. His upbringing allowed him to bring a wealth of experience to "Curb Appeal."

With Bill Beckwith killed, it marks the second celebrity to die violently in a vehicle accident just days apart. "Fast and Furious" actor, Paul Walker died Saturday when the driver of the Porsche he was a passenger in lost control and struck a tree. Both occupants were pronounced dead on the scene.
