The Palmdale City Library will begin offering Spanish and English bilingual family story times on Friday afternoons at 1:00 pm beginning February 22, 2013. The focus will be literacy for the entire family.
“We are thrilled to be offering a bilingual program to our community,” said Library Assistant Maria Martinez. “This is a chance for families to enjoy a story time together, have fun, and learn at the same time!”
Registration for the story times is required and parents or caregivers can sign up their children in the library. The new bilingual program is in addition to the story times for preschool children ages 3 to 5 on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m., which began on January 22.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
