Bikram Yoga Teacher Training with Bikram Choudhury
Bikram Yoga has gained great popularity in the last few years and over time become the favorite hot yoga for many students. With studios all over the New England area and more opening this year and next, there seems little excuse not to get your body in a class where you sweat, burn calories, stretch every muscle in your body, and learn to breath.
If you are interested in becoming a Bikram Yoga Teacher, you can enroll in the Fall Training Program to be held in San Diego, California. This is a 9-week, 600-hour intensive yoga training program where you take two 90-minute Bikram classes a day as well as attend lectures and posture clinics designed to engrain the 26 postures into your head. You should have a Bikram practice for at least 6 months to keep up with the classes. You will also need a recommendation from a studio teacher.
Typical class size is approximately 350 students representing 40 countries. Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury teach classes and lectures along with a host of Bikram yoga Teachers from all the world.
Andrew, a self-employed architect from the Boston area decided to take the plunge and put his work on hold for 9-weeks so he could attend the training several years ago.. "It's the best thing I ever did! The support of the staff and comraderie made for an amazing, life changing experience. It's a proven process that extends after training is over and you start teaching your first classes. That's when the real practice begins. I would recommend it to the world!"
The Fall 2010 training begins runs from Septempber 19 to November 20.
