A group of bikers attacked an SUV in Manhattan and it was all caught on tape. The video uploaded to YouTube, seemingly by one of the motorcyclists involved, has now gone viral and police want to know who was involved. KARE 11 shared the details on Oct. 1.
The incident happened Sunday as Alexian Lien was driving his Range Rover, with his wife and infant daughter in the car. A group of motorcyclists boxed them in, then one slowed down right in front of the car, seemingly itching to start an incident. Lien ended up bumping the back of the cycle, and that is where things escalated and eventually the bikers attacked the SUV.
The video shows the bikers stopping, and Lien eventually racing off from the scene, hitting some bikes and bikers as he sped away from the volatile scene. The bikers gave chase, and caught up to the Range Rover in two other locations. Eventually the bikers attack the SUV, bashing in the driver's window with a helmet, denting the vehicle, reportedly slashing the tires and even pulling Lien out of the vehicle.
Alexian Lien was treated for lacerations on his back and face, and his wife and daughter somehow were unharmed. The police do not know yet just who the motorcyclists were who were involved, but they would like to find out. People watching the video of the bikers attacking the SUV are appalled by how ugly the situation got, and many are hoping police can determine exactly who was involved.
Update: Reports indicate that so far two bikers have been arrested and one is in a coma, apparently paralyzed after he was run over by Lien. Police so far indicate Lien likely will not face any charges, as he fled the way he did in an effort to protect his family.
