There isn't anything better than brightening up a cold and dreary winter by taking off for some place warm and going for a ride.
When I lived in New England, by the time February rolled around, I was ready to pay any price to do just that. As you know, here on the Front Range we can typically get enough riding in over the winter months to stay sane. Not so this year.
Give your sweetheart a gift that you'll both enjoy and remember for a lifetime: a Fly and Ride vacation. Vegas, Phoenix, south Texas, Key West, even Mexico.
There are big and small businesses who either offer rentals, or their whole business is Fly and Rides. The Harley-Davidson dealer locater will indicate which dealerships offer rentals. Eaglerider and Street Eagle are two companies whose whole business is motorcycle rentals. There are also many independents out there, some offering guided tours in addition to straight rentals. A Google search turned up Steel Thunder Outfitters in Mexico.
Check out the weather reports in some southern hotspots, find some bikes, and head out. Your Valentine will love you for it!

Oh to be able to afford a 'Fly & Ride'. I have looked into it as I too get a bet stir crazy and want some adventure in a warm climate. I think I will go buy a lottery ticket and keep my fingers crossed.
Good luck with that, Patty. Fly and Ride, however, is a nice dream; just a bit out of my price range, too. Alas, the snow is gone, and albeit temps are a tad cold for us Southerners, (40-50 degrees), I'll ride today! But, I'll keep my friends in the no ride zone in my thoughts.
great idea!!!!!!! but i really dont have that problem living in south east Texas...the snow bound would really benifit from a fly and ride.....thanks abby

Sounds like a good idea!
Where can I get one of those hats? he he
But seriously, good article and a great idea.
Don't know where you are, but no problem riding here in Ft. Collins this winter. Been out 20+ times since Jan 1.
John, I'm glad you've been able to get a lot of riding in. I think some people are having an easier time making it out of the driveway than others. I've been able to squeeze by the glacier in my driveway a few times this winter and get out, but not as much as I'd like.
