Bike Cleveland to hold annual meeting

Bike Cleveland will be holding their annual meeting on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Beachland Ballroom (located at 15711 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, Ohio). This is a chance for members and non-members alike to meet and socialize as well as learn what has been accomplished in 2013 and what is planned for this coming year.

Following a brief meeting concerning the direction of the organization be sure to stick around to socialize, sing karaoke live on the Beachland Ballroom Stage as well as mingle with Bike Cleveland leaders and workers. Light appetizers will be provided.

“Rising From Ashes” to premier in Cleveland

Rising From Ashes, the award winning feature length documentary that focuses on Team Rwanda will have its premiere in Cleveland at the Cedar Lee Theatre (located at 2163 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio). The premiere will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The event will benefit the Heights Bicycle Coalition and Bike Cleveland.

“Rising From Ashes” is the inspiring story made as an independent film that traces the development of a national cycling team in Rwanda in spite of the effects of genocide during a war in 1994 that tore the country apart.
