The Bihar election results are to be declared today and the counting of votes is in progress. The assembly elections were held in bihar in six phases recently.  The ruling JDU was leading in 99 seats and its ally, the Bharathiya Janatha Party, was leading in 76 seats.  Check Partywise Results.

According to the latest trends, out of the 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly, the JD(U)-BJP combine surging ahead.  Together the partners are already leading in 170 seats.  Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan said "all credit to Nitish Kumar". Constituencywise Results

The RJD-LJP combine is leading in 46 seats, down from 64 last time, the Congress is leading in 5 seats and others, including the BSP and Independents, are leading in 15. Watch Live TV News for Latest news

The counting began at 8 AM today amidst tight security arrangements for all 243 constituencies.

* Others+Left: 16
