On Wednesday the rosters for the 2010 Kentucky All Star team were announced. The Kentucky All-Stars will face the Indiana All-Stars on June 11 at Bellarmine University's Knights Hall and June 12 at Indianapolis' Conseco Fieldhouse. While the team features many talented players, several of the state's top prospects didn't make the team.

1. Chad Jackson, 6-4, PG, Scott County

Jackson, who will take his game to James Madison next season, has been one of the top players in the state since he was a freshman at Rose Hill. This past season he led the 11th Region champions in scoring, pouring in 16.5 points per game.

2. Ian Chiles, 6-0, CG, Ballard

Chiles led Ballard to the championship game of the KHSAA Sweet 16. He averaged a team high 18.2 points per game this past season.

3. Donovan Gibbs, 6-7, F, Iroquois

Gibbs, who will play for IUPUI next season, averaged over 15 points and nine rebounds per game this past season. The Kentucky All Stars could have used his size and length.

4. Ge-Lawn Guyn, 6-3, CG, Scott County

Guyn, who will take his game to prep school next season, struggled with injuries this season and only averaged 11.9 points per game. He had a stellar summer playing for the Indiana Elite and should play Division I college basketball in the near future.

5. Dakotah Euton, 6-8, F, Scott County

Euton, who will play for Akron next season, averaged 15.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this past season. Like Jackson, Euton has been one of the top prospects in the state since he was a freshman at Rose Hill.

6. Jarrod Polson, 6-2, G, West Jessamine

Polson led West Jessamine to the 12th Region championship as a junior and a senior. He averaged 17.6 points per game this past season.

7. Matt St. John, 6-8, F/C, South Laurel

St. John has been a force down low for South Laurel for the last four seasons.

8. Donovan Johnson, 6-5, G, Shelby County

Johnson averaged 16.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this past season.

9. Caleb Hardy, 6-6, F, Carlisle County

Hardy was one of the state's most productive players this past season, pouring in 29.3 points and pulling down 14 rebounds per game.

10. Orlando Rutledge, 6-6, F, Fern Creek

Rutledge averaged 19.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this past season.

I don't think any of the Scott Co. players tried out did they???

It's hard to label the Scott County guys as being snubbed ... they're the guys that snubbed the tryouts.

  • Latrece 2 years ago

They chose not to try out because they would not be available for one on the games due to the game being on the same day as their graduation!

The Scott County kids made the correct decision to attend High School Graduation.
