Tonight’s show kicked off with Fernanda’s transformation since she left the show – she’s actually down lower than she revealed on the show. Fernanda unveiled her 70-pound weight loss on this morning’s “Today” show, and dancing dates with her husband are a new favorite. But will someone else join her in leaving the ranch?
Alison brought the remaining contestants into the gym, which was emptied of equipment. The catch? They would have to bid to use exercise equipment – everything from rowing machines to treadmills to kettlebells had a price.
The white team thought they made a tactical error by bidding $180 on a mystery box of baking equipment but they also won a trade voucher, so they swiped the red team’s boxing equipment. The red team rebounded by outbidding everyone on a set of medicine balls.
Quote of the week, from Dolvett: “You don’t need equipment to be rough, rugged and raw. We’re gonna do what it do, baby. We’re gonna make this thing work.”
Jillian is not interested in losing a third straight weigh-in, so she pushed her team extra hard. “If you really wanna see me mad, say ‘I can’t’ one more time,” she told her exhausted contestants.
Crazy fun fact: Holley has been over 300 pounds since she was in the eighth grade.
Usually, contestants will win video chats with their families after winning a challenge but everyone had a chance to connect this week. Matt had a tough time talking with his fiancée, who he was supposed to marry this very week. “Home is always going to be here,” she told him.
Weigh-in: Yep, already! No challenge this week. The person on the losing team with the lowest percentage of weight loss is at risk of going home. How’d they do?
- Matt: 6 pounds
- Hap: 5
- Chelsea: 3
- Holley: 6
- Bobby: 7
- Craig: 4
- Marie: 6
- Tumi: 10
- Jay: 10
- Jennifer: 4
- Rachel: 7
- David: 6
- Ruben: 3
- Tanya: 0 (Yikes !)
But don’t worry Tanya – Dolvett used his trainer save to keep her on the ranch. “She sounds like she wants to be here, so she’s gonna be here,” Dolvett said.
Next week: We get to celebrate Halloween again next week with a spooky challenge and a “haunting” weigh-in. Ooh, scary!
