‘Biggest Loser’ season 14 premiere recap: It’s all about the teens (and Jillian) (Photos)

When we last left “The Biggest Loser,” gameplay and petulance ruled the day. But the show has been retooled for season 14 with the return of Jillian Michaels and the addition of three teenagers who want to live healthier lives. But tonight, in the first of the two-part premiere, two people were gone -- one eliminated and one who left on her own.

But back to the start: Host Alison Sweeney introduced us to the three teen participants – 13-year-olds Noah (aka Biingo) and Lindsay and 16-year-old Sunny. They’ll be living at home with their families, they won’t be weighed in on TV and they won’t be eliminated.

Bob Harper will be working with Biingo, Dolvett Quince will be working with Lindsay, and Jillian Michaels will be working with Sunny.

Now it’s time to meet the adult contestants. Alison called their names from the stage and they bounded up the stairs from the audience.

Here’s how the teams break down:

  • JILLIAN (white team): TC, Nathan, Nikki, Pam, Danni
  • DOLVETT (red team): Francelina, Joe, Lisa, Jackson, Cate
  • BOB (blue team): Michael, David, Jeff, Gina, Alex

But even though they’re on teams, all the trainers will be available for everyone. While the grown-ups were in the gym, Dolvett took the teens outside to play a little baseball, making fitness fun.

Back in the gym, are you ready for some puking? Oh yeah, you missed that, didn’t you? And the falling off the treadmills and the fainting and the crying.

Quote of the week, from Dolvett: “It’s the first day – I knew it would happen and I love it.”

Jillian was in rare form – and Nikki was on the receiving end of her tough love. “Oh, Jillian Michaels – she is back,” Bob said with a rueful laugh.

TC, Nathan and Nikki met with Jillian outside the doors of the gym to sort things out. She gave them an ultimatum – if they didn’t straighten out, she was sending one of them home.

The challenge: Usually kids get to play in ball pits, but this time, the teens were suspended over a ball pit shouting directions while adults fumbled around for letters to spell out THE BIGGEST LOSER. The prize was a 5-pound advantage for the winning team. The struggling white team won the advantage.

After the challenge, it was time for the kids to go home to continue their healthy ways at home. But they got some sweet parting gifts – two bikes, an iPad and other workout goodies.

Last-chance workout: Lots of rowing, lots of puking. The guys on the white team stepped up their game but Nikki was struggling with the emotional side of change. And she chose to leave the show.

Weigh-in: The person with the lowest percentage of weight on the losing team is automatically eliminated. How’d they do?

WHITE TEAM

  • TC: 15 pounds
  • Pam: 10
  • Nathan: 20
  • Danni: 19

RED TEAM

  • Lisa: 16
  • Jackson: 22
  • Francelina: 19
  • Cate: 12
  • Joe: 26

BLUE TEAM

  • Jeff: 29
  • Michael: 21
  • David: 20
  • Alex: 9
  • Gina: 15

Red was the winning team and white was under the gun. So who was eliminated? Unfortunately, it was TC, who tried for years to get on the show.

The update: TC has lost 41 pounds since he left the ranch and he looks great.

Coming up: Caps lock OMG! (Good one, Michael!) The premiere continues Monday night at 8, which will be “The Biggest Loser’s” new time slot.
