Prestige Fights Promoter Carlos Mena and Gino Ascani of Nola Xtreme Fitness have teamed up with POWER MMA to bring one of the most exciting fights to New Orleans in years. On Saturday November 12th at the Metropolitan, MMA fans will get to see some action packed fights that they will not want to miss. The main billing is headed up by:
PROS
Gabe Wood vs. Jared Brignac--this is a huge main event between POWER MMA's never quit fighter Gabe Wood facing Clementi's gladiator academy's Brignac. Both fighters are high quality professionals and both bring the action at lightweight.
William Knorr vs. Tim Papp--at 49, Knorr makes his return to the cage at 205 pounds vs. the 5-7 Papp of Oklahoma. Knorr, a former world kickboxing champion is looking for glory and will have a huge pack of fans and friends there to support him.
Blake "Dragon" Dufour vs. Chris Smith--both of these guys are at the beginning of their pro careers and both are part of the new generation of MMA in Louisiana. Look for Dufour to throw bombs and Smith to return fire in the 135 pound division.
Jonathan Mackles vs. Francisco Bargarron--two of the top 125 pound fighters in the world. With Mackles having lost his Prestige Fights title to Lewis McKenzie at Prestige Fights 3, he is looking to earn his right to bring his "Mac Attack" back for a re-match. Bargarron is looking to unseat Mackles and prove himself.
Amateur Title 205
Brian Lymuel vs. Brandon Matherne--at 8-0 Lymuel is almost ready to be a pro but before he debuts Matherne is looking to take his chance at unseating the Prestige Fights title holder.
