The countdown to the largest rock and metal music festival of the Mid-Atlantic has begun. After Carolina Rebellion's initial installment in 2011 and a successful second year in 2012, it should be no surprise that the festival will return for a third go around. What may come as the bigger surprise to some however, was the announcement that Carolina Rebellion will be expanding to two full days and feature a huge line-up consisting of thirty-two bands.
Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, will be the festival grounds on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5. Full weekend ($99 + fees) and single day ($59.50 + fees) tickets went on sale to the public on February 8, and can be purchased on Carolina Rebellion's website. A variety of camping, hotel and VIP options can also be purchased with tickets.
The official band line up for Carolina Rebellion was announced earlier this month on February 1.
Saturday, May 4:
Alice In Chains, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Bullet For My Valentine, Halestorm, Asking Alexandria, Sick Puppies, In This Moment, Device (featuring David Draiman, previously of Disturbed), Young Guns, Otherwise, Aranda, Tracer, Monstro.
Sunday, May 5:
Soundgarden, Rise Against, Bush, 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Volbeat, Hollywood Undead, All That Remains, Steel Panther, Pop Evil, Escape the Fate, Nonpoint, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red Line Chemistry, Heaven's Basement, American Fangs.
The Carolina Rebellion festival is featured as the second event of 2013's World's Loudest Month. Both the Rebellion and World's Loudest Month are created and produced by Right Arm Entertainment and AEG Live. Sponsored by Monster Energy and Jägermeister, the Rebellion will feature three main stages and an f.y.e sponsored tent which performing bands will be at throughout the day to interact with fans.
With both previous years boasting an attendance record in excess of 30,000 fans, this is a show that rockers and metal-heads from both the Carolinas and beyond won't want to miss.
