Bigfoot vs Bears vs Humans

BIGFOOT VS BEARS VS HUMANS      BY MITCH WAITE

As a Crypto-zoologist I specialize in the Mogollon Monster, Arizona’s Bigfoot.  I run a string of motion sensor game cameras in areas I believe to be prime habitat on the Mogollon Rim.  In doing so, I get a very good feel for the numbers and locations of animals such as mountain lions, bears, deer, and elk.  Recently, there has been a massive shift in animal populations due to the Bear Wallow Wilderness Fire (Wallow Fire).

The Wallow Fire spanned the Arizona counties of Apache, Navajo, Graham, and Greenlee.  It extended in to Catron County, New Mexico.  It destroyed 841 square miles of prime forest.  It burned 32 human residences, and damaged 5 others.  Over six thousand people  evacuated from their homes and towns.

We have a pretty good idea as to what happened to humans, and we can foresee a hard road to recovery. But what about the other residents that were displaced from the forests?  Five major Bigfoot research areas were burned.  Most people are not concerned about the fate of these “mythical creatures”.  However, These Bigfoot areas of interest also contained thousands of other creatures.

Before the Fire, I was studying and monitoring an area to the west of where the Wallow Fire would burn.  In four years, I had only found one bear print in that area.  During the fire, I pulled down the cameras for fear they would be burned.  On 1 July, I was able to access the area and hang five motions sensitive game cameras.  On 5 July, I retrieved the SD cards and was very surprised at the results.

We have bears--Lots of bears--Displaced and hungry bears.  These bears are in the middle of trying to fatten up for the up-coming winter, but the fire has halted their efforts.    They moved into a new area, but it won’t be long before the food resources are depleted by their increased numbers.  The only thing they can do is move west.  Show Low, Pine Top, Forest Lakes , and then to Heber.  As the bears move into the cities and start raiding garbage cans there will be an increase of confrontations.  There has already been one account of a bear attack in Pine Top.  Human Residents beware, and prepare.  Government—get ready to relocate many bears.
