The group also claims that they have "111 specimens of Sasquatch hair, blood, skin and other tissue types" that confirm that this massive, ape-like creature is real.
While many believe the Bigfoot legend is a hoax, Melba Ketchum of the Sasquatch Genome Project (SGP), told ABC News that she is convinced that Sasquatch is the real deal.
"They’re a type of people, they’re a human-hybrid, we believe. And all of the DNA evidence points to that. And they can allude us, so if you get [footage] at all, it can be fleeting."
The researchers state that the DNA they studied doesn't match any animals known to man but it's very close to human DNA.
Members of the Sasquatch Genome Project claim that the specimens they took were submitted from "34 different research sites in 14 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces.”
Dennis Pfoul, project manager for the group, told reporters at a news conference on Oct. 1, 2013 that the Bigfoot video footage also showed footprints of what he thinks belongs to a Sasquatch roaming around Colorado.
Does the video and findings of the SGP convince you that Bigfoot is real or is it just a myth?
