Bigfoot might be real and a geneticist says a DNA study may prove it, according to a report published by the Albany Tribune on March 2.
Dr. Melba Ketchum of DNA diagnostics in Nacogdoches, Texas has announced that they might have found evidence that Bigfoot (also called a Sasquatch) exists. The team sequenced three genomes of Sasquatch and found that it is actually a human relative that arose about 13,000 years ago. It is believed to be a hybrid of a modern human and an unknown primate species.
Sounds like some kinky stuff was going on!
The Voice of Russia contacted Dr. Melba Ketchum about the study. The geneticist said that in their lab they perform species identification for forensic use the majority of the time. However, they have received samples of DNA that allegedly belonged to a Sasquatch.
Five years ago a television show production company contacted them to identify some samples. One of those samples was thought to be from a Yeti. At that time, they also received samples from the North America Bigfoot Search Organization. While the samples did not contain enough DNA to get undisputable results. However, they did get marginally interesting results.
When the television show aired, Dr. Melba Ketchum's lab began receiving a huge amount of calls from people who wanted DNA samples of a Sasquatch tested. They were curious and agreed. Before the study, the geneticist did not believe that Bigfoot existed.
When they submitted the manuscripts for peers to review, many of them would not even read it. The geneticist said,
"Modern science is not ready for it yet."
