According to a report from THV11 on Oct. 1, 2013, a group of scientist gathered in Dallas, Texas, to unveil what they are calling live-HD footage of Bigfoot. They say this footage and more evidence, DNA they have gathered, gives proof to the legendary figure that so many have tried to prove exists.
The group of researchers at the Sasquatch Genome Project revealed the Bigfoot footage that shows the creature wandering around the woods and sleeping.
According to their research, they have tested "111 specimens of Sasquatch hair, blood, skin, and other tissue types." The researchers say that the DNA they have collected matches no known animals, but it is incredibly close to the DNA of humans.
“They’re a type of people, they’re a human-hybrid, we believe. And all of the DNA evidence points to that. And they can allude us, so if you get [footage] at all, it can be fleeting,” Melba Ketchum, who has led the Sasquatch Genome Project, told ABC affiliate WFAA.
“We’ve all had experiences that have changed our lives, I mean, literally shook the foundation of what we believe in,” Dennis Pfoul, the group’s project manager, said at the news conference.
Pfoul showed some footage of different footprints of what he belongs to Bigfoot as he was up in the Colorado snow.
Todd R. Disotell, a professor at the Department of Anthropology at New York University, spoke with ABC News and in a nutshell, he said he didn't support their claims. Professor Disotell simply doesn't believe what the researchers have found and say it is no proof of the existence of Bigfoot.
The footage that the group showed and claimed to be "live, never before seen HD Bigfoot footage" actually came from "The Erickson Project." That was led by Adrian Erickson and is a documentary of the new proof. It is believed that this is the reason for the news conference, DNA findings, and Bigfoot footage that has been shown.
