Attention, wine lovers:
The Wine Group, Inc. of Ripon is selling off its inventory of dented, mismatched, and old-labeled wine again, this Friday and Saturday 3/26-3/27.
This is a great opportunity to pick up wine for Easter and those Spring barbecues and shindigs at fire sale prices--often for less than $2 a bottle!
Build your own case! Pricing tiers at The Wine Group's last sale were $18, $24, and $36 a case. Wines are grouped by price category. Customers are free to mix price tiers, but will be charged the higher tier price. For instance, at the last sale a customer purchased some bottles from the $18/case bin, and some bottles from the $24/case bin. The customer paid $24 for the case. With twelve bottles in a case, though, $2 for a bottle of wine is still an unbelievable deal!
This is the only time The Wine Group is open to the public. There is no tasting at this event.
Come early for the best selection.
Friday, March 26th: 2 pm - 6 pm; Saturday, March 27th: 10 am - 3:30 pm
Tip: Check out Herding Cats' Chardonnay-Viognier blend. This South African import is one of my favorites, and it's going to be perfect for summer sipping! The Viognier makes it lighter and a bit sweeter than your average Chardonnay, but not cloyingly sweet. If you think you don't like Chardonnay, give this one a try!
The Wine Group, Inc. is located at 17000 E Highway 120 in Ripon, between Manteca and Escalon, and right smack between Murphy and French Camp Roads. For questions about this event, call (209) 599-0405.
