The 2013 Big Ten tournament brackets had a huge upset on Friday (March 15). The Big Ten tournament brackets finally hit the quarterfinals on Friday, leading off with No. 1 seeded Indiana taking care of Illinois pretty easily. Then an underrated Wisconsin team may have shocked the whole conference by knocking off the Michigan Wolverines in the second game.
Most Wisconsin Badgers fans wouldn't even call this game an upset, but with Michigan ranked No. 6 in the country and Wisconsin at No. 22, the national voters will feel that it was. By winning this game, Wisconsin sets up a date with Indiana in the semifinals that will be a much tougher opponent for the team to deal with. Balanced scoring was the key to this one and the Badgers ended up beating the Wolverines for the second time this season.
The 2013 Big Ten tournament brackets get even more interesting when it is considered that Wisconsin has already beaten the Indiana Hoosier (by five) this season as well. Two night games were yet to be settled, though, with Ohio State vs. Nebraska and Michigan State vs. Iowa set to decide the other side of the match-ups.
The semifinals for the conference tournament are set to take place on Saturday (March 16).
