Big Rock Show begins new year at SLG Art Boutiki

SLG Art Boutiki, in conjunction with Lone Wolf productions, kicks of a new year of Big Rock Shows with an all ages show this Friday, Jan. 11th at 7:30pm. Indie-pop takes the stage with several bay area talents showcasing a pair of brilliant female-led acts and a pair of emotionally-charged, alt-rock forces.

Local quintet, Belle Noire headlines the evening, bringing along their heavy-hearted, sonically robust, guitar-oriented ethos (think Circa Survive) to fit their emotional textures. Fittingly in support, the East Bay's Via Coma layers their sound with relentless flair, swirling in sounds from piano, guitars and percussion.

Starting things off, in delicious juxtaposition, the olde time vocal styling and modern production of Big Tree grace the stage. Singers Kaila McIntyre-Bader and Anna Ghezzi head up the Berkeley-via-NYC five-piece in a display of modernized jazz and folk. The delightful folk musings of Paige Noir and her exceedingly sweet guitar, will open an evening of gorgeous, musical and emotional affectations.
