Big Red for the Arts is Greater Hartford’s premier food and wine fundraising event, benefitting the Greater Hartford Arts Council. Top area restaurants provide the food, paired with wines and spirits from around the world for you to enjoy while you support Hartford's arts and heritage community on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013.
Regular tickets are $100 (party of four gets a discount of $375) for the main event, that runs 6:30-9:30 pm. You can also buy a Premier Tasting Ticket for $175 (which includes your Big Red ticket) that entitles you to join a private reception with Tyler Anderson, Owner and Executive Chef of Millwright's Restaurant in Simsbury and winner on the Food Network TV show Chopped, in the Society Room's Hartford Cottage at 5:30pm. Enjoy catered passed hors d’oeuvres and a special tasting of high-end vintages that will not be available during the main event while you meet Chef Anderson.
Participating restaurants for the event include: The Kitchen at Billings Forge, Matthew's Restaurant, Millwright's Restaurant, Pond House Grille, Salute, The Society Room of Hartford, and Vito's by the Park. Friends with Benefits has a link to try to win tickets to the event, which is a sellout every year.
