The holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are something that everyone should experience at least once sometime in their life if they can. It is truly a sight to behold as guests walk through the parks decorated from one end to the other and the joys of Christmas are truly in the air. Let's not forget that Disney is a big time name so celebrities aren't very hesitant when asked to work with them.
The 2011 Candelight Processional at Walt Disney World will take place again this year as Epcot is "transformed into an international celebration of Yuletide traditions." Decorations, live entertainment, and sounds from all over the globe will have guests knowing what it is like to enjoy the holidays in different countries.
One of the greater ways to enjoy the Christmas season at Disney World is the Candlelight Processional. It is a special holiday event held nightly from November 25 through December 25 at the America Gardens Theatre. It is part of Epcot's Holidays Around The World celebration and includes a 50-piece orchestra, mass choir, and a wonderful Christmas story read by a special celebrity narrator.
Now a few of the big time names have been announced for this year's celebration:
- Mira Sorvino - November 25-27
- To Be Announced - December 4-6
- Isabella Rossellini - December 7-9
- Neil Patrick Harris - December 10-12
- To Be Announced - December 13-14
- To Be Announced - December 16-18
- Trace Adkins - December. 19-21
- Susan Lucci - December 22-24
- Blair Underwood - December 25-27
- Marlee Matlin - December 28-30
This line-up is always subject to change of course.
Make sure that if you want to listen to your favorite speakers that you get there early on those nights because the processional does fill up quickly as it is always very popular. There are Candlelight Dinner Packages that guests can reserve in order to ensure seats.
Dinner packages include:
- Appetizer
- Entree
- Dessert
- Non-alcoholic beverage (OR full buffet where applicable)
- Guaranteed seating at that night's Candlelight Processional show
- Pre-arranged Fireworks Viewing Area
