The 2013 Big East tournament brackets are into day two now. Within the Big East tournament brackets, the quarterfinal match-ups are almost set. Wednesday (March 13) marked the second day of the tournament, with Syracuse taking care of business against an upstart Seton Hall team. Seton Hall took care of USF in the first round, but didn't have enough offensive fire power to survive Syracuse.
Updated 2013 NCAA Tournament Bracket Predictions
Villanova beat St. John's 66-53 and Cincinnati pulled a minor upset over Providence 61-44. That left just the Notre Dame vs Rutgers night game in the second round. That game was set to play out on ESPN later on Wednesday. The opponents get much tougher for the winners now, though, as the top four seeds are waiting in the Big East quarterfinals.
The Pittsburgh vs. Syracuse game in the quarterfinals should be very interesting, as should the Cincinnati vs. Georgetown game. Cincinnati needs the win to keep its hopes of sneaking into the 2013 NCAA tournament alive, while Georgetown has its sights on securing a No. 1 seed. No matter how it breaks down, the next two rounds of the 2013 Big East tournament brackets should hold a lot of excitement for fans.
