Big changes are in store for TV reality show, “MythBusters” as executives let three of the original co-hosts go.

Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara told fans goodbye on social network sites. Kari, Tory and Grant have been with the show for 10 years. They said goodbye to their fans on popular social networking websites. The details on why they’re not returning have remained tightly guarded. The only explanation released is that the show is going in a different direction.

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will remain on the popular Discovery Channel "MythBusters" show. Adam said it well with, “It is . . . the end of an era.”

Kari tweeted, “After a decade of the MythBusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us.”

Grant tweeted his thanks to the show “for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way, Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!"

Tory tweeted, "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you."

Fans are sorry to see their beloved cast members go, but Adam and Jamie will remain in the show as they bust myths or prove them as facts.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Discovery Channel released this statement, “Kari, Tory and Grant have been an incredibly important part of MythBusters for over a decade. From explosions to car crashes to even more explosions, this trio has helped shape MythBusters into the Emmy-nominated series it is today. Everyone at Discovery wants to thank them for their tireless work busting almost 1000 myths, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors.”
