Big Brother - Season 11 set to kick off soon

Julie Chen and Leslie Moonves, Photo: APIt's that time of year again when CBS is gearing up for another season of Big Brother!  For CBS, Big Brother has been a huge success now running for its eleventh season.  The amount of work involved with getting this whole thing off the ground and running is something else!

Thousands of applicants sent in their videos and applications to be reviewed by Kassting Inc., since the last season concluded last September.  Open casting calls were held around the nation this April and May with the finalists heading to LA for more casting and auditions in late May.  Right now the final decisions are being made video is being shot of the new group of house guests.

Big Brother is a reality television show which brings together 12 strangers and isolates them inside a large home located on a CBS studio.  This house has hundreds of cameras which keep running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 3 months.  Each week all the contestants vote to evict one of the house guests until only 2 remain at which point the jury of evicted house guests choose the winner who will walk away with a cool five hundred grand.

This year rumor has it that a new eco friendly house will be used.  While Big Brother will not allow any photos to be released this is a statement which displays the value of this series to CBS and its long term ability to come back season after season.

Julie Chen pictured here with CBS CEO and President Leslie Moonves officiates the contest and competitions outside of the house speaking with the house guests through their only link to the outside world.  The house guests are cut off from any communication from their families, world events, or any news.  It can get harrowing and the house guests will become quite attached to Julie as will the viewer.

This makes for some extreme competition where  house guests create alliances, seek to destroy one another, seek to cozy up to one another, basically use any means necessary to win!  So get ready for another action packed season with backstabbing, attitude, drama queens and kings, and just basic good old reality TV.
