About a week and a half ago “Big Brother” alum Britney Haynes Godwin announced the awful news that her 2-month-old little girl, Tilly, was diagnosed with cancer. On Sept. 24, 2013, she provided an update of her progress on Twitter, saying her treatment was going well.
At around 8 p.m. ET, she tweeted, “Round 2 of chemo went well! Tilly is all smiles today. :)”
When Britney and her husband, Nathan “Ryan” Godwin, first announced the news that Tilly had cancer, they did it through a Facebook post, which read, “On September 1st, we were among the daily 720 sets of parents to be absolutely devastated with a Childhood Cancer diagnosis. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Please take the time [to] pray for all of these children, our sweet baby included. We appreciate each and every one.”
At first, fans were skeptical, thinking the news may be a cruel hoax. However, “Big Brother” icon, "Evel" Dick Donato, confirmed Britney had “sent out a text to a lot of BB people before going public.”
According to a Twitter message posted just days ago Britney plans to post “updates to a blog soon” to keep her fans apprised of how Tilly is doing during this difficult time.
