This summer, the “Big Brother 2013” house guests engaged in a Power of Veto competition dressed in diapers, which was inspired by former “Big Brother” contestant Britney Haynes Godwin, who was expecting her first child at the time.
She and her husband Nathan “Ryan” Godwin welcomed little Tilly Elizabeth into the world shortly thereafter.
But, according to WetPaint, on Sept. 14, 2013, a message posted on Britney’s Facebook page read, “On September 1st, we were among the daily 720 sets of parents to be absolutely devastated with a Childhood Cancer diagnosis. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Please take the time [to] pray for all of these children, our sweet baby included. We appreciate each and every one.”
According to Reality Tea, on Saturday night, Britney posted a tweet along with Tilly's photo, confirming the awful news, and writing, “Thank you for all of the thoughts, wishes, and prayers for my precious girl. She’s everything to me. #PrayforTilly.”
Some fans questioned the validity of the messages, but renowned “Big Brother” icon, "Evel" Dick Donato, confirmed Britney had “sent out a text to a lot of BB people before going public,” Reality Tea reports.
Fans have been tweeting their love, support, and encouragement to Britney and her family after learning of Tilly's diagnosis.
