Britney Haynes Godwin, who was a house guest on “Big Brother” in seasons 12 and 14, recently announced the awful news that her two-month old baby girl, Tilly, had been diagnosed with cancer. On Oct. 2, 2013, Britney posted a second blog entry about her daughter’s progress in her “Together for Tilly” blog, noting the infant was even cheerful during a blood transfusion.
She began by writing that she was happy to see October come and wanted to update all her supporters regarding Tilly.
Britney also graciously thanked all those who have been giving her positive feedback and praying for her baby daughter's recovery.
She noted that little Tilly is losing the “super thick, dark hair…” she was born with due to her chemotherapy treatments, but realizes the loss is only temporary and “is necessary for her to get better.”
Tilly also went through a blood transfusion this week, but “couldn’t have taken it better” and was “smiling and happy for the whole thing,” Britney writes.
Otherwise, Tilly is acting like any other baby, with “constant babbling” and loving it when she is read to, according to the blog.
The “Big Brother” alum also wrote she is thankful for her husband, Ryan, who has made her smile throughout this extremely difficult time.
Supporters have apparently been asking for a physical address to send Tilly cards, so Britney included in her blog post an address, which is Tilly Godwin, PO Box 1677, Owasso, OK 74055.
She added how grateful she is that so many people are interested in her daughter’s journey and promised to update her blog soon.
