The current Head of Household title holders, Zach and Frankie, choose two house guests each to sit on the eviction block on the July 27, 2014 episode of “Big Brother” season 16. In addition, the nominees will have to fight it out in the Battle of the Block challenge to determine who is safe and whether Zach or Frankie remains the reigning HOH.

If the pair of cast mates that Zach nominates for eviction wins the BOB, then he will be dethroned. But, if Frankie’s nominees are victorious, he will lose his crown for the week.

This is Frankie’s third go at being HOH, but the BOB will determine if he retains the week 5 title over Zach. Just this week, Frankie was given sad news that his 90 year old grandfather, who he was named after, died following a third bout with cancer.

Although devastated by the news, he was given a letter sent to him by his family that encouraged him. In essence, he was told that his grandfather was proud of him and had recently stated that if anything happened to him, he wanted Frankie to stay in the “Big Brother” house and fight to win the game.

Tragically, just two days later, Derrick also received some awful news indicating his grandfather had died as well. He has also decided to stay in the game and, according to Joker’s Updates recorded a message for his family regarding his grandfather. According to reports, Derrick also received support from his family, encouraging him to remain in the “Big Brother” house.
