During the last episode of “Big Brother” season 16, house guests participated in the latest Head of Household competition in which two people were chosen as HOH. Each nominated a pair of cast mates for eviction and on July 11, 2014, those chosen to sit on the eviction block fought it out to win the Battle of the Block.
Nicole and Derrick both won the the HOH competition and each were required to nominate two people for eviction. After they discussed possible candidates and strategies, spoilers revealed Derrick chose to go with Jocasta and Caleb, and Nicole nominated Donny and Amber for eviction, according to Big Brother Updates Twitter page.
HamsterWatch tweeted that the Battle of the Block competition involved some sort of puzzle or puzzle pieces. In the end, Donny and Amber were victorious in the challenge over Jocasta and Caleb, therefore, Derrick is now the reigning HOH. In addition, after the competition, Nicole, no longer a HOH, is now wearing what looks like a green frog costume, Joker’s Updates live feeders report.
Jocasta and Caleb, along with the HOH and two other house guests who have yet to be chosen, will now play in the Power of Veto competition. From what those watching the live feeds report, it appears that the goal is that if neither one of the two people nominated wins the POV and removes themselves from the eviction block, whoever wins the POV will use it on either Jocasta or Caleb. This will allow Derrick to replace one of them with Devin, who the house guests can then vote out of the game.
