After the losing the Battle of the Block, the two “Big Brother” 16 house guests who remained on the eviction block were slated to take part in the Power of Veto competition on July 12, 2014, in order to save themselves from being ousted from the game. One of those cast mates on the chopping block, however, took ill and had to sit out of the POV challenge, according to a Your Reality Recaps live “Big Brother” show.

Caleb and Jocasta, the two house guests up for nomination in week 3, were supposed to fight for survival in the POV, but it appears that Jocasta has taken ill. According to those watching the live feeds broadcast from inside the “Big Brother” house, she sat out of the competition because she felt nauseated and feverish, Joker's Updates reports.

Ultimately, Caleb (nominated for eviction), Derrick (the current Head of Household), Devin, Donny, and Christine reportedly took part in the quest for the POV. According to Joker’s, Donny was the victor and ended up winning the POV medallion.

Big Brother Dish tweeted that Donny’s plan is to use the POV on Jocasta, keeping her safe for another week in the “Big Brother” house. Previously, Derrick had stated he would put Devin on the eviction block if one of the nominated house guests was saved.

Unless cast mates have a radical change of heart and decide to send Caleb packing this week, Devin will almost certainly be booted from “Big Brother.” If nominated in Jocasta’s place, he has no way to remove himself from the block, aside from convincing his fellow contestants to keep him around. On Friday night’s episode of “Big Brother: After Dark” Devin seemed to be resigned to the fact that he was house target and would be headed home, as he spoke to some of his cast mates in the HOH room about leaving and how anxious he is to see his daughter.
