"Big Brother 16" spoilers now reveal things aren't going according to plan in the house. These latest "Big Brother 16" spoilers also suggest that a new target for eviction is about to emerge. According to a report from Big Brother Network late Friday (Aug. 15), the latest Battle of the Block competition didn't turn out like the "Detonators" alliance had hoped. Christine was supposed to throw the challenge and work toward Donny getting evicted, but that plan absolutely backfired.
Derrick had nominated Christine and Donny and was intended to remain the Head of Household. It was the team of Caleb and Cody (nominated by Frankie, the other HOH) that was supposed to win the battle and get off the block. Instead, it was Christine and Donny that won it, saving themselves and removing Derrick as the HOH. Now they are protected from eviction and a new target will have to develop for Cody and Caleb to be safe for another week in the house.
Another report has the players for the Week 9 Power of Veto competition having already been selected. The strategy talk has begun as to who most people want to win the Veto and how it might get used heaving toward the next eviction ceremony. The three people joining the Veto competition are Christine, Donny, and Victoria, which means that Zach and Derrick are the only ones that won't be participating. It will lead to a very interesting challenge for the participants.
Victoria is the new target since Donny is safe and the plan is for someone in the alliance to win and then use it to take down Cody. An interesting wrinkle could develop if Victoria or Donny won it and simply decided not to use the Veto this week. It would mean that either Cody or Caleb would go home, with the likely result that Cody would be saved by his alliance. A lot is on the line during the Week 9 Veto competition so upcoming "Big Brother 16" spoilers will focus on it.
