Two nominees who sit on the eviction block will fight for the Power of Veto on the July 9, 2014 episode of “Big Brother” season 16, according to CBS. If neither one wins, then the house guest who is victorious can choose to either use it on one of the potential evictees to save them from leaving the game, or can keep nominations as they are.
Devin, the current Head of Household, nominated Brittany and Paola, or “Pow Pow,” for eviction. The two had a chance to get off the eviction block and dethrone Devin during the Battle of the Block in which they went up against Amber’s nominees, Hayden and Nicole. Instead, Hayden and Nicole won and that resulted in Amber losing her bid for HOH.
If the winner of tonight’s POV decides to use it on Brittany or Paola, Devin will then have to pick another cast mate to replace one of his nominees for eviction. This has taken place in the past when contestants want to “back door” or get out a strong player. By placing a player on the eviction block using this method, unless he or she can sway votes in some way or house guests change their minds, that cast member will almost surely be sent packing.
When nominations were made over the weekend, Devin made it clear to other house guests his target was Brittany and Paola was the pawn. But, as the week has progressed, live feeders reporting on house activities on Joker’s Updates note that things can change dramatically from day to day in the “Big Brother” house.
