Tonight marked the second live double eviction episode on this season of Big Brother. The show picked up after the Veto Meeting, when GinaMarie nominated Spencer after McCrae used to Power of Veto on himself. Spencer admitted he volunteered to go up, and GinaMarie was happy to have her plan in motion.
GinaMarie went to Amanda to talk, and Amanda accused GinaMarie of being jealous of her and McCrae, since Nick wasn’t around. Amanda and McCrae ignored GinaMarie and hid in bed.
Amanda then did a complete 180 and asked Elissa to talk. She told Elissa to think about her game and if it would help her to keep Amanda around, since everyone would probably go after Elissa if Amanda went home. Amanda admitted she had tortured Elissa a lot, but she hadn’t lied to her. Elissa thought about it and decided keeping Amanda around would give her a better chance to win. Elissa pulled Amanda into the lounge room and told her she wanted to vote for her to stay because she trusted Amanda and McCrae more than Spencer and GinaMarie. Andy interrupted the conversation, so Elissa told him he should consider a final four deal with her, Amanda, and McCrae.
Later, Andy told Spencer and Judd outside about Amanda and Elissa’s new plan. He also said he would frame Elissa and pretend she was the one to vote Amanda out. Meanwhile, Amanda told McCrae about the new plan and asked him not to be pessimistic.
Julie checked in with the houseguests and told them it was not only the 500th episode of Big Brother, but also another double eviction. She then gave the nominees one last chance to speak. Spencer said hello to his friends and family and told the houseguests it had been a great experience and an awesome summer. Amanda told everyone they became family to her, she thought she could benefit others’ games if they kept her, and she would respect whatever decision they made. Then, it was time to vote – McCrae and Elissa voted to evict Spencer, while Andy and Judd voted to evict Amanda. GinaMarie then put Nick’s hat on and voted Amanda out to break the tie.
Outside the house, Julie asked Amanda what she thought happened, and she wondered if Elissa went back on her word, saying Elissa had given her her wedding ring for collateral. (The ring was still in her suitcase). Julie asked about Amanda’s game play, and she said she didn’t want to be a bully. She said she was honest, but she did regret bullying Elissa. Julie also asked what it was about McCrae that won Amanda over, and she said she admired his personality and way to win over other people. Amanda added that McCrae was planning to move to Florida. In the good-bye messages, Elissa told Amanda they had a reconciliation and she voted to keep her, GinaMarie told Amanda she had been exterminated, Andy told Amanda he voted her out with the Exterminators to save his game so he wouldn’t finish third behind a power couple, and McCrae told Amanda he didn’t know how he would play the game without her.
Next up was the HoH Competition. Each person had to dig through their “yard” to retrieve two dog bones. Once they found both bones, they had to run back, put the bones in their dog bowl (one at a time), and get back to grab a key and hit their buzzer. McCrae, Elissa, and Judd each found one bone, but it was McCrae who found the second one and won HoH.
Julie gathered the houseguests in the living room, and McCrae nominated GinaMarie and Elissa.
Next up was the Veto Competition. With only six houseguests left, everyone participated. Each person had to race their car through a puzzle maze in order to get to the end and light up their checkered flag. Everyone was close, but Judd ended up winning the Power of Veto.
Julie called everyone to the living room and let Elissa and GinaMarie speak. Elissa told Judd she had nothing to do with him being back-doored and reminded him he told her he would have her back and use the Veto going into it, so she would appreciate him honoring his word. GinaMarie told Judd he won fair and square, she was kept in the dark for his eviction, and she wouldn’t recommend using the Veto on Elissa, since she had been in on his eviction. As expected, Judd chose not to use the Veto.
Elissa and GinaMarie were given once last chance to speak – Elissa told Judd she had never lied to him, told Spencer she never nominated him except for MVP when she had no relationship with him, GinaMarie had more Jury votes, and she never lied to Andy. GinaMarie said she was good at some things and not others and would never, ever steer any of the guys wrong. Everyone voted to evict Elissa, and she became the second victim of tonight’s double eviction.
Elissa didn’t say good-bye to anyone and stalked out of the house. Julie asked Elissa if she thought she could have done anything to save her game, but she actually thought McCrae was the one who hadn’t voted to keep Amanda after how shocked Andy looked. Julie asked if Elissa’s sister, Rachel, had given her any advice, and she said she told her to play with her heart and not let any emotions get in the way.
This week, there will be evictions on both Wednesday and Thursday nights to get down to the final three. Tune into Big Brother Sunday night to see the new HoH and their nominees. Who would you like to see walk out the door next week? Is there anyone you want to win? Leave a comment below!
