Sunday night's Big Brother 15 didn't disappoint as Elissa took over as Head of Household and enjoyed her news status, wielding her power as she nominated two new houseguests for eviction. As the night's episode began, we were treated to footage from Thursday's simultaneous HOH and jury twist competitions. After a stunning HOH win, Elissa admitted she's glad the others in the house are squirming, because now they know how she's felt all along. Amanda tries her hardest to manipulate Elissa and but fails miserably, even resorting to tears, according to BuddyTV on Aug. 25.
While the competition to see which jury member will return to the game is going on, Helen does the best thing she’s done all season and feeds updates to Candice, Jessie and Judd.
Helen wants to ensure that should one of them be the returning player in the game twist, that they know what's been going on since they were voted out.
This is a smart move on Helen's part since any returning houseguest needs a leg up since they've been removed from the house for awhile.
One by one Jessie, Candice and Helen fall off their small platforms, leaving Judd to be named the returning jury member.
Meanwhile, Elissa, GinaMarie and Amanda battle it out for HOH. Elissa makes two incredible saves as she first falls on her butt on the platform, and then swings completely off it as she holds on for dear life.
Even Amanda survived a near disaster. But in the end, it's Elissa who catches the 10th ball and is crowned HOH in a competition several players claimed was the hardest so far this "Big Brother 15" season.
After Elissa’s win, she patches things up with Judd in regard to his untimely blindside exit. Judd explains why he didn’t want to hug her on his way out of the house.
He tells her that he now realizes Helen was behind his ouster and he just presumed Elissa also had a hand in it. She explains she didn’t and their slate is clean.
Judd and Elissa realize that they’re both alone in the house so they decide to team up. They even shake on it, but come up short of actually giving their new alliance a stupid name.
Aaryn nearly poisons herself at one point, as she's in the middle of doing her nails when she stupidly grabs a bottle of fingernail polish remover, mistaking it for her water bottle, and takes a big swig. Andy jokes, "She's fine, I've been poisoning her for a while".
As Aaryn tries to convince Elissa to go after Amanda rather than herself, she stresses to her that she wants to be in the game so bad.
Elissa has a great response, saying "You want to be here so bad to play the game for Amanda?", according to Big Brother Network.
Elissa tells McCranda that she wants to put one of them on the block with Aaryn. Amanda does her best to convince her it's a bad move, since there's a chance Aaryn will come off after she or GM win the veto, and then either her or McCrae would go home.
It's not clear why Elissa doesn't see Amanda as the biggest threat in the house. She said in her nomination speech that she wants McCrae to win the Power of Veto, and that Aaryn has targeted her all season and made her life a "living hell".
It is true that Aaryn nominated Elissa twice and evicted her good friends Howard, Judd and Helen. Of course as we know, Aaryn wasn't really making those decisions, she was just following Amanda's marching orders.
Leaving Amanda off the block may be a good move after all. Should she not get picked to play in the Power of Veto competition, or even play and not win, there's chance she could get backdoored.
