Tonight’s episode of Big Brother picked up during Thursday night’s live eviction. Amanda felt she had a hand in every eviction, Spencer felt he was in a good position for the next couple weeks to not sit in one of the nominee’s chairs, and Andy struggled to get control of his emotions. Aaryn was excited to win HoH, but she was nervous to get more blood on her hands and make a big move.
Once again, Amanda cried and felt frustrated she didn’t win the HoH Competition. McCrae admitted he threw the competition and warned Amanda that he never would throw one again. Amanda ended up in tears, so she stormed out of the room and hid behind a garbage can in the Storage Room to let her emotions out. In the kitchen, Spencer and GinaMarie agreed that Amanda was going to ruin McCrae’s life.
Helen and Elissa knew Aaryn’s HoH win meant trouble for Elissa, and Elissa wondered if Aaryn would put her up with Helen. Helen went to Aaryn and told her she played an excellent game and not to feel bad for her win. She reminded her that she is humble and better than Janelle.
Meanwhile, Amanda came out from behind the garbage can, and she and McCrae decided it was for the best that she didn’t win. Amanda decided Aaryn needed to put Helen and Elissa up, with the intention of Helen going home.
McCrae hugged Aaryn in the lounge room to congratulate her. Aaryn said she was going to put Spencer and Elissa up, but Amanda came in and said Aaryn needed to put Helen and Elissa up. McCrae left the room, and Amanda said to make Helen think Elissa was the target. Andy came in the room, and Amanda filled him in on the plan. He agreed.
The “3 A.M.” alliance assigned roles – Amanda was “The Mastermind,” Andy was “The Agent,” Aaryn was “The Beast,” and McCrae was “The Enforcer.”
The group went to check out Aaryn’s HoH Room, which was spruced up with new pictures of Aaryn with sheep and goats and a pink blanket.
Helen encouraged Elissa to talk to Aaryn, but Elissa didn’t want to. Elissa was very homesick and missed her family and son, so Helen tried to cheer her up and keep her from breaking down. Helen told Elissa they needed to avoid the Jury house, but Elissa said if she was evicted, she wouldn’t go to the Jury – she would go right home. Helen pointed out that would mean Elissa wouldn’t be there to vote for her if she made it to the end. This sent Helen into a fit of tears.
Helen joined the group in the HoH Room and started crying. She tried to leave the room, but everyone made her stay, and GinaMarie comforted her. Helen told everyone what Elissa had said, and they all told her anyone else who left would kill to be in Jury. Helen continued to babble on and on, and the others realized Elissa didn’t appreciate the experience the way they did. Spencer said Elissa was just having a bad day, and GinaMarie went off talking bad about her.
Next was the Have/Have Not Competition, which everyone selected colored chips to choose teams for. The Green Team was GinaMarie, Amanda, Helen, and Elissa, and the Orange Team was Spencer, Aaryn, Andy, and McCrae. (As HoH, Aaryn was a Have regardless). The Green Team went first. They had to make their way through a big, pitch black box out in the backyard to find a key – there were cob webs; showers of goo; and buckets of spaghetti, oatmeal, and cherry pie filling, but the key was actually on a table next to the buckets. Once they found the key, they had to get the whole team back outside, unlock a clear plastic box, and hit the button inside. Spencer found the key for his team much more quickly than the Green Team had, but they struggled to find the exit and get back out. The Green Team took 7:21 to finish, but the Orange Team finished in 3:41, make the Green Team Have Nots for the week.
As they soaked their feet in the hot tub, Helen gave GinaMarie a history lesson about her family’s background. GinaMarie found it all very interesting, and Helen was happy to share her stories.
Elissa finally went to Aaryn and told her she had really grown up a lot in the house. She said she wanted to be there and didn’t see any reason for the two of them to fight. Elissa added it was hard being away from her son, and she needed a yoga mat in order to do her exercises, because her body was so sore. Aaryn assured her if she was on the block at any point, she was not the target.
Helen talked to Aaryn and said she realized Elissa was going to go up. Aaryn told Helen she wanted either Spencer or Elissa to go home this week. Helen told her she would stay true to Aaryn and would do as she wished this week.
During the Nomination Ceremony, GinaMarie, Spencer, Amanda, McCrae, and Andy were safe, leaving Helen and Elissa as the two nominated for eviction this week. Aaryn said she nominated them because they are a power duo and could come after her power duo if they were in charge.
