Fresh out of spending 77 days in the “Big Brother 15” house and another week or so as part of the show's jury, Elissa Slater learned she will join her sister, “Big Brother” season 13 winner, Rachel Reilly on the CBS soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful,” according to a Sept. 23, 2013 TV Guide report.
Elissa did not win this season of “Big Brother,” but was voted America’s Favorite player, which made her $25,000 richer.
According to TV Guide, Elissa will be part of the “reality TV invasion” on Oct. 24 and 25, along with her sister, her brother-in-law, Brendon Villegas, Jeff Schroeder, and Howard Overby.
They will be joined by Malcolm Freberg from both “Survivor: Philippines,” and “Survivor: Carmoan.”
Elissa told TV Guide her upcoming stint on the CBS soap is “crazy and completely surreal!” She noted that she began watching the show as a young girl with her grandmother.
The offer to be on the soap came the same night as the “Big Brother 15” finale, and she was told, “We know you’ll be up all night but, if you agree to do this, you have to be at ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning,” she said.
Elissa is playing a hostess at the Bikini Bar for the limited appearance, but Rachel and Brendon have landed recurring roles on the soap.
She told TV Guide it “would be epic” to become a regular part of the show and said she filmed scenes for two different additional episodes airing on Oct. 30 and 31, that show she and Rachel shopping at a boutique.
When asked by TV Guide why she looked so surprised when she was chosen by America as the favorite “Big Brother 15” player, Elissa said, “I was truly blown away… I feel like I won the game anyway because I’ve come away with such fantastic memories.”
She added, “…then to appear on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’… really, how can I complain about not going the distance on ‘Big Brother’? I’m too busy pinching myself.”
