Season 15 of “Big Brother” has been the most controversial. There were several incidents throughout the season that made fans uncomfortable and downright furious. From racism to sexually explicit comments, “Big Brother” had it all. The season has finally wrapped, and America’s favorite houseguest was revealed. Elissa Slater won the prize, and the vote garnered more votes than any previous season. On September 19, Elissa took to Twitter to say thank you to those that voted for her.
Elissa has been a season favorite since the beginning. She was voted MVP three weeks in a row. Elissa’s big sister is Rachel Reilly. Reilly was on “Big Brother” twice and won the game once. Fans of Rachel supported Elissa, but there are several fans that genuinely are fans. Twitter had several fan accounts going with support for her throughout the game.
While the controversy was happening in the house, Elissa remained true to herself and her beliefs. She played with her heart, and when she didn’t like someone, she didn’t pretend. Elissa stood up for her friend Candice during the racism, and that showed fans that she is a truly decent human being.
If nothing else comes out of this, Elissa Slater knows that America support her the entire time and she can walk through life with her head held high. This was a difficult season to be a part of, and Elissa made it through without having to play dirty.
