LA- Although Brendon Villegas was evicted a second time as expected, things quickly fell apart for the Enemy Alliance, led by Daniele Donato, when Alpha Alliance leader Jeff won the next HOH competition.
The strategy to evict Brendon and solidify her position amongst the minions in the house seemed to be on track for Daniele, however, any major player in the game has to face certain risks to make moves that advance their position in the game, and she knew without a doubt that the second element to this strategy would rely on an Enemy Alliance member winning HOH. Once Jeff won the HOH competition, the real struggle for power began.
Jeff promptly nominated Porsche and Kalia, and the mood amongst the minions began to falter. Remember, floaters rely on attaching themselves to whoever is in control of the game. Even though Kalia was HOH, she was still a floater, and her HOH week was nothing more than a puppet regime ran by Daniele. Porsche stuck to them like glue, and for three weeks sealed her own position in the house as the Enemy Alliance remained in control. It is now impossible for her to float the other direction, and she will remain a minion for the remaining length of her stay, as will Kalia.
Jeff followed up on the plan to evict Daniele by winning the veto competition, and likely will remove one of the minions and put their leader up instead, assuring that the Enemy Alliance will crumble once she is gone and the floaters will be floating alone. As pointed out in last week's column, this would be the moment where the floaters should band together and attempt to dismantle the remaining Alpha Alliance. It is, however, unlikely that this will happen since they all appear to be spineless and incapable of making decisions on their own.
