On this episode of "Big Brother 12", it looked like it was going to be Andrew's final hour from the get-go. We began this episode after Captain Kosher's speech at the Power of Veto ceremony, where he claimed that he wanted to get rid of Brendon and Rachel while at the same time wanting the Power of Veto for himself.
The funny part about all of this? The whole house turned on Andrew because of Rachel's reaction -- which was actually pretty genuine. Matt encouraged Andrew to talk to every person in order to dig himself out of his massive hole, and Rachel decided to spend the next few minutes complaining about how she was out of the loop. Brendon even said "I love you". What more do you want?
The campaign
Kathy had a genuine argument to stick around in the house -- she needs the money, particular to give her son a better life after some of the struggles she's been through (including a cancer battle).
Andrew's argument is far more difficult, since he felt like an outcast in the house. He's not the most social person in the world, and he really didn't help himself by going after Kristen for "playing him like a fiddle". This is obviously a tough situation for the guy to be in, and he's cracking.
Matt's wife speaks out
Julie Chen then introduced a segment where we found out some more about Matt's wife, who is trying to use an "illness" that his wife has as an excuse to stay further in the game. She doesn't necessarily like what he is doing, but tried her best to support him with her letter.
Matt then also spoke out, and said that his decision
The votes
In their final speeches, Kathy preached about her loyalty and integrity in this game. Andrew, meanwhile, gave one of the most awesome speeches of all time in which he completely blasted Kristen for saying a bunch of terrible things about most of the other people in the house. He also revealed the showmance with Hayden.
Will Andrew even get a single vote after that? Here's a breakdown:
- Kristen: Andrew
- Rachel: Andrew
- Britney: Andrew
- Enzo: Andrew
- Brendon: Andrew
- Hayden: Andrew
- Ragan: Andrew
Following his elimination, Julie Chen questioned whether Andrew should have revealed the information about Kristen and Hayden sooner. The messages telling the guy goodbye were tearful, and this really is one of the saddest exits of the season. Andrew was different than any character the show has ever had, and now we're left more generic model-types like Kristen.
The new HoH
The challenge this week was fairly simple -- two contestants face off about past competitions and answer questions. Since it's pretty early on the show, this really doesn't seem that difficult.
We started with Hayden and Britney. Hayden won, advanced, and then put Brendon and Rachel up against each other. Brendon didn't even look like he tried, and she put up Kristen and Hayden. Kristen then was the winner, and Kathy and Rachel were put up. Kathy lost by answering the question wrong, and it was then up to Kristen and Enzo. Is anyone putting up Lane?
After a few rounds, it was up to Lane to stop Rachel from winning. So much for that. Rachel won yet again, and now we have a full week to pound our heads against the keyboard.
Finally, there's a twist! America has the opportunity to vote on whether or not we want someone to be the new saboteur, and in doing so they can win $20,000.

Except for the fact that Rachel and Brendon are awesome and now the generic wannabe Kristen is going to be put up on the block where she deserves and that's supposed to make me want to pound my head on the keyboard?
Right...
