The cheer from "Big Bang Theory" fans was heard around the country as Penny and Leonard are officially engaged. Complete with a ring from Leonard’s wallet, the moment seemed perfect for the sitcom viewers. The big announcement on the CBS show raised plenty of excitement as viewers hit up social media to weigh in on the marriage decision for the characters. According to the Today Show on Friday, the move was expected, but the season isn't over yet as the season finale is next week.

The season finale of "Big Bang Theory" might have more big changes on the way. According to KSITETV on Friday, the title of the episode "The Status Quo Combustion" imply things will dramatically change for the other characters too. With Penny and Leonard happy about their future, it appears that the rest of the cast need to make changes for the upcoming season too. Sheldon is forced to confront an uncertain future and considers a major move. Never one to be drastic, this decision might be bigger than the engagement news.

Meanwhile, Raj and Emily take it to the next level and who knows what these two individuals have in store. And then there is Mrs. Wolowitz's injury which is becoming a major headache for Howard and Bernadette. It appears that every character is going to get a little bit of the spotlight on the show airing before the summer break.

The seventh season finale of the "Big Bang Theory" is looking to share a conclusion with each of the characters and offer viewers a chance to appreciate the cast individually as well as the show. With the engagement of Penny and Leonard, everyone is expecting that the upcoming TV season will be enough time to plan the perfect wedding. Or maybe it will be a breakup.
