The 2013 Big 12 tournament brackets are underway now. An upset has already taken place in the Big 12 tournament brackets, with No. 9 seeded Texas Tech knocking off No. 8 West Virginia in a hard fought game. The 71-69 finish from Wednesday (March 13) sets up a very tough game against Kansas in the tournament quarterfinals.
Updated 2013 NCAA Tournament Bracket Predictions
The other first round game was between TCU and Texas with the action taking place on the Big 12 network later on Wednesday. The winner of that game advances to play No. 2 seeded Kansas State at 6 p.m. on Thursday (March 14). The quarterfinals already look pretty good for the conference, with two schools from Oklahoma and two more from Kansas the early favorites to get an automatic slot in the 2013 NCAA tournament.
The 11-19 Texas Tech Red Raiders are certainly hoping for some more upset magic in the second round of the 2013 Big 12 tournament brackets. It's a tough road ahead, though, as Kansas is hoping to sweep through this tournament and lock up one of the top seeds in the NCAA tournament. Taking on an energized Texas Tech team could certainly serve as a big test since the Red Raiders have nothing left to lose.
