The Big 12 has four games on the schedule and three games have undefeated teams vying to stay unbeaten. All four of the games on Saturday have double digit spreads according to CBSsportsline.com, so on paper it doesn’t look like an eventful day ahead. Baylor is a 17 point favorite on the road. That’s exactly the way the Big 12 wants to remember this day too. They’d love to avoid any major upsets to keep the conference in contention for a BCS title game.
They TCU Horned Frogs have had a tough schedule early and paid for it with three losses. Unfortunately, they also loss some starters on both sides of the ball. A win in this spot would get them back to .500. Kansas is still trying to turn the corner as a program. What better way to do so than a huge road upset.
The Iowa State Cyclones have to be steaming after getting their victory over Texas snatched from them. Texas Tech better be on high alert. The Red Raiders are using a balanced attack to stay unbeaten so far. They’ve only given up over 20 points once. Texas Tech should be able to protect home field.
Oklahoma has a lot riding on this game, and while all the talk has been about the status of Mack Brown, imagine if Bob Stoops loses this game. This is Oklahoma’s game to win and they have to be prepared for every trick in the book. They should also look for Mike Davis taking cheap shots at the Sooners’ defensive backs.
The Baylor Bears lead the nation in scoring and they do it in a hurry. Kansas State must keep Baylor from exploding in the first quarter. This is a payback game from last year. Baylor really ruined the Wildcats perfect season in 2012. Since that November day, Baylor has not lost and they haven’t scored fewer than 41 points.
