Justin Bieber's neighborhood, which was the site of some excitement, fast cars, and sputum -- at least according to Bieber's neighbor, may soon be the home of something besides people: As reported on Wednesday, a reality TV producer wants to shoot a reality TV show inside the gated community.
The report said that residents of "The Oaks" in Calabasas, Calif., have received a newsletter informing them about a "fresh, new docu-series with the working title of 'Calabasas 91302.'" In the newsletter, the producer of the proposed show said that the goal of the series is to give viewers "an inside look at the true Calabasas life and all that it entails."
Far more celebrities than just Justin Bieber reside there. The Oaks sees other residents such as Travis Barker, the Jacksons, Keyshawn Johnsonm Kourtney Kardashian, Shanna Moakler, Mitch Richmond, Romeo, and others.
As you might expect, the report said that the idea of a reality TV wasn't going over well with the community residents.
The producer said that he is still looking to cast four to five families for the show. He went so far as to remind folks, in the newsletter, that "Calabasas was the stage several years ago for MTV's 'The Newlyweds' starring Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey."
The first episode aired in August of 2003. The show ran for 41 episodes and three seasons. The last season started on Jan. 26, 2005, and the last episode aired on March 30, 2005.
The same year that the final episode was axed, though, the couple similarly axed their married. Simpson and Lachey were married on Oct. 26, 2002, but filed for divorce on Dec. 16, 2005.
