Bieber apology: 18-year-old sorry for getting high?

A Bieber apology for smoking weed on "Saturday Night Live" was definitely unexpected... but it happened. Sort of. On Feb. 10, Just Jared reported that The Biebs took advantage of his hosting gig on Saturday night and said he was sorry -- but was it a joke? Or was Justin really using the national broadcast to explain himself and ask his fans for forgiveness?

"I also heard he got busted for smoking weed and he’s really sorry about it and people make mistakes and he’s never gonna do it again," Justin said in third person while in character.

The Bieber apology has been in the news since it aired on SNL. Whether or not the apology was genuine seems to be the main concern amongst fans. Saying "I'm never going to do it again" seems a little sarcastic to some people. Do fans really believe that Justin has no intention of smoking weed in the future? Given the fact that he's been accused of getting high on more than one occasion, many find it hard to believe.

Justin's weed apology was definitely the most talked about moment of the night. No one expected him to confront those "weed pictures" -- but did he do it just for the laugh? Or was he being serious?

Was the Bieber apology legit?
