Twitter users had a huge shock Monday night when they checked their Twitter account. The number of followers and the number of users they follow were both at zero.

Several stars were suddenly very unpopular and not pleased by the prospect.

In a post , Kutcher wrote

Twitter is being hacked by some Turkish hacker. Haha I have 0 followers. Whew! There's an update from Twitter, 'missing relationships are being restored.

Teen star Bieber, a heavy user of Twitter, wrote

So I woke up here in LA and Twitter has been hacked. Turns out I am no longer popular. Hackers, I send a warning... U have now p**ssed off over two million teenage girls. They are more dangerous than Navy Seals.

The reset was purposely done by Twitter to fix a bug that was discovered by Turkish hackers that could allow users to force any account to follow them on Twitter.

According to Twitter

We identified and resolved a bug that permitted a user to "force" other users to follow them. We're now working to rollback all abuse of the bug that took place
