BIC Bands, started and owned by, Sandy Pearson, is leading the way on nonslip headbands. BIC bands stands for, "because i can bands." The company website states that, "We raise funds because we can, for those who can't so that one day they will!"
Originally, the owner made the bands to raise funds for her first half marathon with Team in Training. When she first began, she designed, sewed, and sold the bands herself. She donated the profits to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The bands continue to be handmade in southern California.
"Because the bands were such a hit after her race, she decided to keep making and selling the bands, and keep giving back to those in need!" described by the BIC band website. The company continues to donate to a different charity each month from company profits.
They focus on making a stylish quality headband that doesn't slip but stays in place, doesn't give you a headache but is soft and comfortable to wear. The website states, "Stay focused on your finish line and not your headband." and "BIC bands stay in place: dance! jog! wiggle! jump!"
BIC bands not only focuses on raising money for charities but producing a quality product. They offer nonslip headbands in four different widths and many many different styles including: prints, solids, sparkles, holidays, and sporty. They have everything from sparkles to mustaches and more.
