SOLVING IMMIGRATION and Educating the Public

In Deuteronomy among the curses that God said would come upon his people Israel is the curse of the immigrant. If some could not see this article it maybe because Examiner assumed that I did not write about religion and thus unpublished the article. I am writing this prologue so everyone can see how Biblically important the matter is. In the New Testament Christians are said to be built into the same tree of Israel and indeed in James the 1st chapter his letter is addressed to the 12 tribes scattered abroad. Know this and consider the curses in Deuteronomy 28 in new light. Among the curses are those pronounced by Moses. Verse 43 The stranger (foreigner) that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

Right here in Little Rock Arkansas we have seen animosity because some immigrants though undocumented have been accused of getting governmental help particularly for schooling that people born here cannot. In the rest of the nation because of votes, many of these people are being catered to. The fact that the Bible indicates that we should always treat the foreigner right and we are having trouble getting people to even consider the real issues is the reason for this writing. It is obvious that the first part of solving the problem is obeying God. However, since this is a voting country and many of these immigrants are relatives, wither they are legal or undocumented, makes it a wise course to get them heavily involved. Hopefully this could be a fun and Christian way to get people involved in finding solutions to this problem.

Marco Rubio, McCain President Obama et. al, listen up. Why don’t you put together three groups of 7 individuals each: The groups: (a) Seven average citizens (b) Seven illegal aliens or undocumented visitors or whatever name you want to call them. (c) A group of legal immigrants who are certain that keeping the immigration laws are a must.

The task of groups (a) and (b) is for them to present scenarios of immigration to group (c) that the majority, 5 out of 7, of that group believe would make undocumented immigrants want to come to the country legally as opposed to against immigration law.

This group could even look at one page summaries of up to 5 plans of congressmen. The culmination should be a one or two day affair. The whole thing should be no more than a week. Each group could bring in 2 of their favorite advocates, whose mikes would be cut after 10 minutes of talking (maybe 5).

When 5 of 7 of the legal immigrants agree that one or more plans are a good fix for the immigration problem, then let that be the answer. Make it into law, after those 7 say yes this is what we agreed upon, of course. The only stipulation on their decision and any change in law is that it must be clear to the public exactly how it works to make all immigrants want to come here legally while solving the problem of all undocumented ones already here.

To get the public involved, we could make it like dancing with the stars. They could do everything from choosing the groups to deciding what to pay them for their five day’s of work. Via their phones or computers the public could give their opinion of each option. If there is more than one solution, the public could even show their opinion of which best solves the problem.

Ok, so our politicians will likely say, this is our job. That’s why we are here. We can figure it out ourselves. That’s why we get paid the bucks.

Many citizens will think, hey we don’t need a reality or game show to understand the importance of securing our borders in a lawful manner.

Yes, not doubt both statements above at least should be true, but you got to know that a lot more people are interested in what is happening with Snookie and Honey Boo Boo than what is happening in Washington. If done right, I think maybe people may actually get to see what it means to people to come in legally and see others walk in only to be catered to. Maybe, just maybe the people who haven’t had a clue will learn the intricacies and importance of immigration laws that protect borders and make a country an independent community of people who have agreed to what their country stands for.
