The U.S. Intelligence Chief James Clapper said on Tuesday, that North Korea posses a serious threat to The United States and the East Asian nations. Although the U.S. has moved quickly to impose sanctions against North Korea, this has only made the nation more defiant as a long range missile and a nuclear missile had been tested within the past three months.
These programs only show the commitment of North Korea in continuing to develop long range missile technology which would be capable of reaching the United States. Clapper also said he was concerned about South Korea becoming a target, but says he is satisfied that U.S. missile defenses can defend against such an attack, although there is new emerging talk of an Iran, Syria, North Korea alliance. Is threats such as this a warning of the end times? Let us see what the Bible has to say about this.
Wars and rumors of wars! Jesus talked about wars being a sign of the end in Matthew 24: 6-8.
"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."
Then in the book of Revelation when the tribulation hour begins, the second seal indicates that there will be wars involving many nations all over the earth.
Revelation 6:3-4
"When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see." Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given him a great sword."
The Bible says that wars and the threat of wars are indeed a sign of the end. And these wars will only escalate during the tribulation hour. In fact many people will die from war, famine and disease. Through signs like these, we can see that the tribulation hour is upon us. But Jesus promised to save those who believe in him and repent of their sins from the hour of tribulation. Get ready, for the time is at hand! Repent and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior today!
