The first big movie to hit the theater is “Son of God.” Slightly based on the 10-hour TV miniseries “The Bible” produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. This film is one of the most expected looks of the season.
Another film that will have the theaters bustling is “Noah.” Staring Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Watson, the fans will have fans revisiting the Noah Ark story, but with some serious celebrity power.
"Exodus" is the biggest biblical-based film slated to be released before Christmas in 2014. Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley, and Sigourney Weaver were directed by Ridley Scott and the film is sure to be a blockbuster.
Other smaller films in 2014 are also planned, but the release dates haven’t been confirmed. Offering a new look at the Good Book, it’s going to be interesting to see how the public responds to Bible based movies in the New Year.
