Bi-weekly News Roundup: The ever immenent PS4 and more

There wasn’t a lot of big, big news these past two weeks, but there sure was a lot of news in general. There were more PS4 rumors, game delays, new game announcements, and more! Let’s charge into the Bi-weekly News Roundup shall we?

  • Sony teased there will be an announcement on February 20, revealing the “future” of Playstation
  • As if it needed to be said, Activision revealed plans to release a new Call of Duty before the ended 0f 2013
  • Along the same lines, Ubisoft revealed that a new Assassin's Creed is in the works featuring a new hero and new time period and that it would be released sometime in early 2014
  • Indie game console, Ouya, has plans to release a new console every year, same price, but with hardware updates
  • Ouya also announced plans that the system will be available at retail stores like Target and Best Buy
  • The Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC, The Tyranny of King Washington, will actually be divided into 3 episodes, launching 2/19, 3/19, and 4/19
  • Rayman Legends which was set to release this month on the Wii U is now being delayed until September so it can released alongside PS3 and Xbox 360 versions
  • Killzone Mercenary for the PS Vita will release on 9/17
  • Insomniac’s new game, Fuse, is delayed from March to an unknown date in April
  • In a bizarre acquirement, Japanese MMO developer, GungHo Online Entertainment, bought Grasshopper Manufacture, developer of the recent Lollipop Chainsaw
  • Speaking of which, their new game, Killer is Dead, will release sometime this Summer
  • Grand Theft Auto V has been delayed until this September
  • More Sleeping Dogs DLC is on the way, but no release dates of now
  • PlayStation 3 users will finally get Skyrim DLC starting with Dragonborn this Tuesday, 2/12
  • CD Projekt RED revealed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Namco Bandai and Nintendo arte teaming up to make an arcade Mario Kart in Japan
  • Redbox is going into streaming, starting first with the Xbox 360 as an exclusive
  • Borderlands 2 DLC will be published on a collection disc for retail purchase
  • Square Enix revealed their new game, Murdered: Soul Suspect
